Boardwalk Barking - Barkerville, B.C.

Promoting the Theatre Royal at Barkerville, B.C.

Here is the first short video I have shot on my D800.
I don't have a photos of the setup yet but I'm using the 16-35mm Nikkor lens. The camera is mounted on a Manfrotto 393 Gimbal on a Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod and a Rode mic is on a Manfrotto arm which removes it 18 inches from the camera, eliminating any camera noise. The Rode has a dead cat to reduce wind noise. I also had a Marshall 7" monitor on the camera hot shoe.
As a further note a large bright roof across the street acts as a giant reflector.
Two takes.

The video is compressed from iMovie for the web, so is 12 frames per second not 30.
The sound is also compressed.

This video shows the Theatre Royal, Barkerville, boardwalk barking. Everyday [except Thursday] at 12:45 p.m. the Lafont & Ward Theatrical Troupe present a preview of our show. Many folks photograph and video the boardwalk show we we decided to make our own version.
Left to right: Miss Rose - Box Office Manager, (Windsong Whitehead); Miss Lily Lafont (Amy Newman); Ella Montez (Alison Jenkins); Tom Lafont (Don Nelson); Ned Ward (Graeme Thompson). Missing is Jim Hodgkinson our Musical Director and pianist. FOH Stan Hack makes just a brief appearance on the right.
